Aloy Can Challenge NPCs To A Match Of Horizon Forbidden West Strike

Yesterday’s announcement of Horizon Forbidden West pre-orders and different editions mentioned something called “Strike”, which Guerrilla Games hasn’t talked about before. However, thanks to an FAQ on the PlayStation website, we know that Strike is a board game that Aloy can play with NPCs.

“Strike is the board game played by inhabitants of the world of Horizon”, reads the FAQ. “They play with carved wooden and metal pieces in the form of machines. Aloy meets Strike in Horizon Forbidden West and she can challenge many different NPCs to a match.”

So something like Gwent then? We will find out in due course.

Strike pieces are included in Horizon Forbidden West‘s Collector’s Edition, Digital Deluxe Edition and Regalla Edition. The Digital Deluxe and Collector’s Editions will include an in-game Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike piece, and the Regalla Edition will include replica Sunwing and Clawstrider Machine physical Strike pieces in addition to the in-game Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike piece.

The FAQ also shows that: Horizon Forbidden West will feature voiceovers in the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Latin American Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Subtitles are available in the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, Hungarian, Czech, Turkish, Greek, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Korean.

Pre-order Horizon Forbidden West will earn you the Nora Legacy Outfit and Spear for in-game use when it finally launches on February 18, 2022.
