Assassin’s Creed Dawn of Ragnarok is Ubisoft’s Biggest DLC

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla remains a strong player for Ubisoft according to their latest financial results. On March 10, the game will soon receive the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion, in which players will help Odin face a new threat to Asgard. According to the publisher, Dawn of Ragnarok will be “Ubisoft’s biggest expansion yet”.

How big is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok?

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok adds approximately 35 hours of gameplay. In the new storyline, Odin will save his son Baldr from the Jotunheim ice giants and save his kingdom from the Muspelheim demons controlled by Odin’s greatest nemesis Surtr. To do this, he must allies with the Dwarves from Svartleheim, find the Hugr-Rip bracer to learn new combat moves and gain new divine powers. There will also be a new weapon class and the Trials of the Valkyrie where players can gain new loot. According to PlayStation game size, the DLC download size will be 15,003 GB on PS5. A PS4 format has not yet been announced.

Dawn of Ragnarok is part of a “stronger post-launch program” that has made the game more successful than its predecessor Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Overall engagement is 30% higher than Odyssey’s at the same stage of its life cycle. The game’s total net bookings increased by 70% in the last quarter of the year, while the amount of money players spent in the game increased by more than 80%. Still, Odyssey was not completely left behind. With the release of the Free Crossover Stories in December, Odyssey had its best month ever in player engagement. Needless to say, Ubisoft is pleased with the franchise’s continued performance.

In other news, Sony has decided to celebrate the release of Horizon Forbidden West by placing a 3m tall statue of Clawstrider in the middle of Sydney’s Botanic Gardens. It also has one of the Treat Codes that players must enter if they want to win a PS5 console. Elsewhere, Atlus has started a countdown that seems to be teasing a Soul Hackers revival.
