DICE has announced that it will release the wraps from the Battlefield 2042 Danger zone on October 14, during a reveal trailer set to air at 4pm BST / 11am EST.
Hazard Zone is the latest major addition to Battlefield 2042 that we don’t really have much concrete information about yet, with DICE previously saying it will take the form of “an all-new, high-stakes, squad-based game-type for the Battlefield franchise that is a modern take on the multiplayer experience that is distinctly DICE, but very different from All-Out Warfare’s Conquest or Breakthrough modes.”
However, an August datamine revealed that Hazard Zone will take inspiration from Battlestate Games’ first-person shooter Escape from Tarkov. Players will reportedly battle it out with AI enemies as they attempt to reach extraction points with a loss of loot.

Battlefield 2042 will be released on November 19, 2021 on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta was launched last week, although DICE was quick to point out that it was based on a build of the game that was a few months old. As such, many improvements have been made to the game since then.
EA announced earlier this month that it had changed its stance on Dual Entitlement for Battlefield 2042, whereby anyone who purchases the digital Standard Edition of the game on PS4 and Xbox One would receive an upgrade to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, respectively.
