Battlefield 2042 Rush Mode Removed From Playlist By DICE

DICE has annoyed Battlefield 2042 fans this week by unceremoniously giving Rush Mode the heel of the game’s official playlist. This is despite Rush getting positive feedback from fans, who insisted on keeping it a permanent home in Battlefield 2042.

Rush mode is still available on custom Portal servers, but XP progression has been limited in Portal to put an end to the XP farming lobbies that were infamous during the Battlefield 2042 launch period. Fans are understandably put off by this , fueling the belief that DICE neglects to listen to its community.

However, Andy McNamara, Global Director of Integrated Comms For EA, expressed frustration at fans’ demands in a now-deleted series of tweets earlier this week. He later apologized for the lack of clarity in his messages.
