Following the delay of the first season of Battlefield 2042, DICE has announced that the game’s next update will not be released in February as previously planned. Update 3.3 includes the much requested refreshed scoreboard among other changes. The developer said it needs more time to improve the quality of its patches.
When will the Battlefield 2042 leaderboard update come out?
DICE has not given a release date, but has said that update 3.3 has been pushed to “early” March.
We just made a small one #Battlefield2042 hotfix available on all platforms to address the game instability we noticed after the release of update #3.2.

Fans are understandably unhappy about the delays, but it’s clear that DICE has a lot of work to do given the state of Battlefield 2042. Interestingly, while EA acknowledges the game hasn’t lived up to expectations, the publisher is hopeful that DICE things will turn around because that’s what the studio has a history of.
“As much as I hate to admit it, DICE is the studio that has been able to do this a number of times now and really go back and rebuild the core and re-engage the community, as long as we do that in conjunction with a committee,” said EA CEO Andrew Wilson in a recent earnings call. “That’s what that studio was so good at.”
In other news, Microsoft says it will still be a smaller game company than Sony despite its acquisition of Activision, and Gran Turismo 7 is further detailed ahead of launch.
