BioShock 4 Delayed Rumor – PlayStation LifeStyle

When Netflix announced a new movie adaptation of the BioShock franchise, 2K also agreed that Cloud Chamber, the developer behind the upcoming BioShock game, was looking for more staff. According to the latest rumors, there is a reason for this. Apparently Cloud Chamber has lost as many as 40 staff members since the project started and this could potentially delay the new game until 2024.

When will BioShock 4 be released?

According to their latest financial results, Take-Two Interactive still expects BioShock 4 to be released before the end of 2024. Many people expected the game to be announced in the first quarter of this year, meaning before the end of March. That would also have been released this year, but the rumors that arose with the well-known leaker Oops Leaking on Twitter (With thanks Comic book) suggest that the date may have been shifted.

Since the beginning of the game’s development, Cloud Chamber has apparently lost 40 staff members, including those in lead roles. Some apparently resigned, while others were fired “for various reasons”. Anyway, the new recruiting campaign is part of a “slight restructuring”. The leaker also claimed that 2K is “unsatisfied with the results and pace of the project”. Despite both issues, he also emphasized that the game isn’t in development hell. As usual, this should all be treated as rumor and taken with a heavy dose of salt, as neither Cloud Chamber, 2K nor Take-Two Interactive have confirmed this information.

In other news, an HBO executive has confirmed that their upcoming The Last of Us TV show won’t air until 2023. The show will not be shown in 2022 as filming continues on set in Canada. Elsewhere, one of the reasons for Battlefield 2042’s lack of success was the surprise release of Halo: Infinite’s multiplayer modes, as it further emphasized the game’s flaws.
