Some details of Call of Duty Vanguard have already been leaked ahead of its official reveal.
Season 5 update for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone includes files confirming Call of Duty Vanguard has a World War II setting gets.
Not only that is confirmed, the files also contain the name of the game and official box art. In addition to the standard and ultimate edition, there is also a cross-gen bundle, which means that Activision also charges an upgrade price this time around, similar to what they did with Black Ops Cold War.
A few details about the Ultimate Edition have also been leaked, which includes the included additional character and weapon skins that players can access in-game, as well as other bonuses like Skipping Battle Pass Tiers, double XP and so on.
Also included is early access to the game’s open beta, which of course has yet to be officially announced, although this does confirm the game is getting a beta.
Activision has addressed a number of leaks and issued DMCA takedowns everywhere. We won’t embed the images into this story, but you can still get a glimpse here and here. There is no telling how long these links will stay online.
The game will reportedly be unveiled in a week, on August 19. Since Vanguard files were found in Black Ops Cold War, we’ll probably get some sort of in-game event in Warzone that heralds the announcement.
