Disney is going to be big in the coming time when it comes to Star Wars. The most interesting news for us is that in exactly two months we will be presented with a new Star Wars game.
Disney has launched a new Star Wars campaign, spanning multiple products and media. Dubbed “Bring Home the Bounty”, it consists of twelve weeks of reveals until the end of the year, the first of which is a series of action figures and clothing. Each week of revelations is suggested with some sort of icon. Some are characters from the Star Wars universe, while others are more abstract concepts, such as a Lucasfilms 50th anniversary logo or a pair of lightsabers.
For us, the tenth week is the most interesting, since there is a game controller in that week. Here people seem to suggest that we can expect a new game. However, no other information is offered as to what that game would be. We already know about the Knights of the Old Republic remake in the works for PC and PS5, and the port of the original game for Switch. And a new expansion for The Old Republic is on the way.
Plus, there’s a lot more ahead for the Star Wars fan. We know about a Ubisoft open-world game set in the Star Wars universe, and then there’s the rumors of a David Cage-directed Star Wars game. Or it could be the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We haven’t seen it at EA Play, but maybe we’ll see it here. And then there’s the possibility of something completely unexpected. We will hear it in the week of December 14!
