eFootball update coming at the end of October, aiming to fix several issues with the game

Konami is in a strange place, as the only publisher to have released what many consider to be some of the greatest games of all time and with the release of eFootball they released the worst rated game ever on Steam – although an upcoming update is planned for October 28, 2021 hopes to make a start on that.

eFootball is the new free-to-play approach to sports titles, where instead of an annual release you just have to play that one game, which is updated with new mechanics, rosters and content as it progresses. It sounds like this could be the future for sports titles, but a very bad release has drastically soured that idea.

Konami have now twice apologized for the state of the game with their statement announcing the release date of the update, and hopefully they won’t feel like they have to apologize again for fixing the issues with the games. While you can see how much is wrong with it, that may take a while.
