From Software has admitted that the Elden Ring Margit The Fell Omen boss fight was just a bit too hard during the game’s network test and required some balancing for that stage in the game.
While chatting with GamerBraves, Elden Ring producer Yasuhiro Kitao added that the development team didn’t make the bosses difficult, but there are optional encounters that will push your skills to the limit if you fancy an extra challenge.
We didn’t want to make it harder for the bosses. Margit was just too hard for the network test, we think. He was just a little pinched on the high side so he needs some balancing for that early point in the game.
In terms of bosses that are non-essential and optional and hidden, there are some that we intentionally increased the challenge for players looking for this kind of experience. Hopefully, if you’re so inclined, you can look for some really tough challenges hidden in the world.
There are a number of hidden areas that you can be transported to in the world of Elden Ring. This won’t work exactly the same as in the case of the Nameless King in Dark Souls 3, you won’t have to perform a gesture for a long time to be transported somewhere, but there will be some nice surprises for the players and some encounters and bosses which may be a little tricky to get to and we hope you discover them all.
