Far Cry 6 PS5 and Xbox Series X Versions Will Not Have Ray Tracing

Ubisoft 3D Team Lead Programmer, Stephanie Brenham, told Wccftech in a recent interview that: Far Cry 6The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions will not include ray tracing.

Ray tracing in Far Cry 6 is exclusive to PC because on consoles, Ubsioft’s goal has been to take advantage of new hardware capabilities, optimize performance focused on 4K and achieve 60 frames per second, all while bringing new game features such as our dynamic weather system , are supported on all platforms.”

In addition, neither console gets the AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (something previously implemented on the PS5) in Far Cry 6 because Ubisoft teamed up with AMD to develop the feature specifically for PC.
