FIFA Ultimate Team

Made the following changes:

  • During away games, players see the colors of their own equipped field line instead of their opponent’s.
  • Updated transfer market and stadium search filters to match the look and functionality of the transfer market player search filter.

Fixed the following issues:

  • Fixed further cases where some players saw an initialization message when attempting to make a match in Division Rivals and found no opponent.
  • In some cases, the team management options could not be adjusted during a Division Rivals match.
  • In a rare scenario, players were unable to access the FUT Champions menu.
  • Some SBC’s UI elements were not rendered correctly.
  • The match UI did not display an image for some player items when displaying the Players To Watch overlay.
  • Images on FUT Heroes player items did not always display correctly.
  • Flair Shots were not always counted towards Objective progress.
  • An event countdown timer was displayed incorrectly when no event was active in the Objectives menu.
  • The progress bar on the FUT Champions Play-Offs tile did not always display correctly after losing a match, this was only a visual issue.
  • The FUT Champions preview screen did not always display the navigation tabs correctly.
  • A placeholder UI element was inadvertently available in the menus and could have generated a message related to Finals Qualification when selected.
    • This was only a visual issue and did not affect FUT Champions.
  • The captain of a co-op lobby was unable to select the Edit Squad option while being the only player in the lobby.
  • Sometimes the caption of the Friends List button in the game could not be displayed.

Gameplay

Made the following changes:

  • Driven passes are now more likely to be intercepted by players standing in the ball’s travel path.
  • Some dribbling animations triggered by moving the left stick, including the ball carrier making small touches to avoid a potential tackle, will now only occur when the Contextual Agile Dribbling setting is set to On.
  • When defending a pass with the Auto Swap setting set to Auto, Air Balls and Loose Balls or Air Balls Only, an automatic player change will occur a little faster than before.
  • Decreased firing assist on an attempted shot in situations where the goalkeeper is close to one of their posts.
  • Playing matches with the Defensive Corners Custom Tactics slider to 1 or 2 bars now places more players outside the penalty area and on the center line.
  • Improved defensive marking of AI teammates during short-turn scenarios.
  • Added more variety to the types of shots the CPU AI can perform.
  • In a situation where a Jockeying defender is Nutmeg, they will no longer run an animation where they slip while spinning.
  • Reduced the frequency of CPU AI slide tackles.
  • Removed some evasive animations that could occur when the controlled player attempted to block a ground pass or short lob pass.

Fixed the following issues:

  • Goalkeepers were sometimes unable to make saves if shots were aimed close at them, between their knees and head.
  • When playing matches with the Defensive Depth Custom Tactic Slider set to 70 or higher, defenders may inadvertently fall too deep into their own half.
  • Attempting to switch a player with the right stick to a central defender can sometimes switch to another player instead.
  • In some situations, goalkeepers failed to make successful saves on shots that were within reachable diving distance.
  • When performing a player substitution with the right stick, the next player indicator may sometimes appear above an unintended player as opposed to the player that was originally eliminated.
  • A white placeholder UI element can sometimes appear near players during matches.
  • On rare occasions, a goalkeeper may bounce a salvageable low shot into his own net.
  • Sometimes a goalkeeper can commit a foul without an umpire awarding a restart to the opposing team.
  • The Team Press meter would inadvertently decrease during Team Press startup after activation.
  • When activating Player Lock, Player Switch could not be requested until the player released the right stick and then made a Player Switch request.
  • Sometimes no foul was called after a clearly late tackle.
  • When losing the ball, in a rare situation the original ball carrier can become stuck in place.
  • When applying for a first Driven Pass, the Let Ball Run command was sometimes executed.
  • In rare situations, play could continue for a short time after a penalty kick was awarded.
    • The correct penalty kick would eventually be awarded.
  • In a rare situation when passing with a goalkeeper in co-op play, the goalkeeper would remain the selected player until a manual player change was requested.
  • When getting up from a slide tackle, a foul may be called in error if the player is standing upright.
  • In situations where a defender would make a failed attempt to block a shot, an animation can occur where the player moves their leg away from the ball.
    • This was only a visual problem and did not affect the outcome of the situation.
  • In rare situations, when the ball was far from the ball carrier’s feet, it may take too long for a requested Pass or Shot to occur.
  • The defending player could inadvertently slow down when chasing an air ball.
  • Sometimes when the keeper rushed to an incoming ball, the keeper would come close to the ball without reacting, resulting in loss of the ball.
  • The next player switch indicator can sometimes inadvertently switch from a central defender to another player in inappropriate situations.
  • In some rare situations, a requested Fake Shot would not be executed and the controlled player would not animate correctly.
  • In very rare circumstances, the keeper can teleport when making a dive rescue.
  • Sometimes the Drag To Drag Skill Move may have been asked unintentionally.
  • When making a catch, the keeper could sometimes fall to the ground unnecessarily.
  • The ball could pass through a defender in a rare situation where the ball receiver would touch the ball before the defender attempted to make contact with the ball.
  • When performing a Clearance, the ball would not always go as far as intended.
  • Players can sometimes stumble in inappropriate situations.
  • A goal celebration could rarely get bogged down in repetition, resulting in a delayed continuation of the game.
  • In some situations, the CPU AI team would not try to win the ball back.
  • The CPU AI team can sometimes take too long to execute a free kick.
  • When the ball was received through the chest after a lobed pass, it could bounce high enough in the air to cause unintended player changes.
  • Fixed potential stability issues that can occur during Penalty Shootouts.
  • Fixed an issue with a Competitive Master Switch that allowed players to play online with Contextual Agile Dribbling, Assisted Jockey, Auto Clearance, Auto Shots, and Auto Flair Pass enabled, which was not intended.

Career mode

Fixed the following issues:

  • Youth players may have been generated with unrealistically proportioned arms.
  • The names and numbers of youth players did not appear on their uniforms during matches.
  • In Player Career, the Pro’s OVR and positions can be unintentionally changed after being edited.
  • When you enter the Player Career as a sub, the team’s tactics, playstyle, and difficulty can be reset.
  • Youth players born after 2005 showed a birth date of 1980 when edited.
  • The youth player’s progress can sometimes inadvertently freeze.
  • In some cases, re-contracts may apply to players with 1 year less than was agreed in the negotiations.
  • Editing a player’s shoes can sometimes cause them to wear gloves.

VOLTA FOOTBALL

Made the following changes:

  • During matches, the skill meter now shows which actions contributed to its build-up.
  • 2 new stadiums added.

  • 4 Party Games added to VOLTA ARCADE.

Fixed the following issues:

  • In rare situations, some players were unable to match in VOLTA SQUADS when grouped together.
  • When viewing the Season Progress pop-up window, the correct level was not highlighted in the UI, it was just a visual issue.
  • The season progress button callout was not always present in the UI.
  • When attempting to start a run, a Simple Skill Move may have been inadvertently performed.
  • The Closest To The Pin and Bucket Ball party games could have used an unintended camera angle at times.
  • In some cases, a VOLTA ARCADE tournament did not start until at least one player left before the first party game took place.
  • The Post-match Season Progress screen was not always displayed correctly.

Professional clubs

Made the following change:

  • The reactions of CPU AI teammates are slightly reduced when they try to restrain a player who is dribbling.
    • This change only affects CPU AI teammates in teams with human players, not exhibition matches.

Fixed the following issue:

  • The Customize tile was not displayed correctly.

General, Audio and Visual

Made the following changes:

  • Updated single kits, stadiums, sound effects, celebrations, advertisement boards, sound effects, broadcast packs, stadium announcers, crowds and balls.
  • Added and updated a total of 124 star heads.

Fixed the following issues:

  • [XSX|S Only] When a USB keyboard was connected to the console, it could appear in-game as a non-selectable input device.
  • When changing the right stick input in Accessibility Settings, some parts of the user interface could not be navigated.
  • There were some typos in the user interface.
  • EATV videos didn’t always have sound.
  • Some main menu tiles did not always display the intended content.
  • Parental Controls settings were not always available through FIFA Playtime.
  • Fixed some potential stability issues.
