Just as important to Miamians is their city’s sport and they have it all. American football, basketball, hockey, baseball and soccer – there is something for everyone. So it may come as no surprise that Miami has been selected as the latest US venue to host the fastest motorsport: Formula 1.

The debut race at the Miami International Speedway takes place this weekend and it’s going to be exciting. Before the race, we share just a taste of what you can expect, with the debut of the game from F1 22.

Located in the heart of the city, drivers and players will have to navigate 19 curves, many of which are within sight of Hard Rock Stadium. With three DRS zones and a long start and finish straight, there will be plenty of opportunities to overtake on this fast and flowing track.

This year’s new regulations have yielded some unexpected results in the opening races of the sport’s new era. Thanks to radical new car designs, drivers have been able to follow the car in front much more closely. These new changes have been reflected with new physics, tire and handling models added to F1 22. recently announced F1 22 ambassador and cover star at Scuderia Ferrari Charles Leclerc leads the championship after a strong start to the season, with reigning champion Max Verstappen hot on his heels in second after a commanding win at Imola last time out.

not only will F1 22 features the Miami track at launch along with many other global circuits, but new Immersive and Broadcast modes bring you closer to the action than ever before. Select “Immersive” and you’ll need to keep an eye out for risk-reward interactive pit stops, as well as keep your car in check during formation laps and safety car periods. You don’t like risk? Select “Broadcast” and those parts of the race will be taken care of for you, with true cinematic camera angles throughout.

Fan-favorite features like Career, which includes a two-player option as well as Multiplayer, and formula 2 everyone makes a return. With My Team, the mode that allows you to take your place on the grid as the 11th team, you can now further customize your experience by choosing from three entry points: Newcomer, Challenger and Front Runner. There’s also new adaptive AI, so less experienced players can stay competitive in every race.

To celebrate the inaugural Miami Grand Prix, we teamed up with local graffiti artist Abstrk to design some exclusive Miami-themed items as a bonus to anyone who pre-order the F1 22: Champions Edition before May 16.
