Ghostwire Tokyo PS5 exclusivity lasts until 2023

With the premiere of the Ghostwire: Tokyo showcase, developer Tango Works has revealed that the game will be a PS5 console exclusive for at least a year. Specifically, the game will remain on the next-gen console until March 25, 2023. The game will also be released for PC in addition to the PS5.

Will Ghostwire: Tokyo come out on Xbox consoles after PS5 and PC?

It is important to note that the publisher of the game is Bethesda Softworks. Since Microsoft owns Bethesda, there’s a good chance the game will be released for Xbox consoles once the exclusivity deal expires. However, this has not yet been confirmed.

Ghostwire: Tokyo was originally announced as a 2019 PS5 console exclusive. Sony confirmed the official release date a few days ago, and the latest showcase features over 10 minutes of gameplay footage. In addition to the premise, the showcase detailed information about the player’s special abilities and weapons. As the protagonist Akito, players must fight strange ghosts in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo using a special bow and a magical ability called Ethereal Weaving.
