GTA V and GTA Online are coming to PlayStation 5 on March 15 with story mode and the changed world of online.
The PlayStation 5 version of GTA V and GTA Online provides a new experience, which is more detailed and immersive than ever before. Featuring a new graphics mode for enhanced performance, including frame rates up to 60fps and 4K visuals. In addition, the new version features technical advancements such as faster loading time and immersive 3D audio.
So with the power of PlayStation 5 you get access to new achievements. Jump into action faster, for example, thanks to the SSD and enjoy the improved loading times. This will allow you to load the world of Los Santos and Blaine County faster than ever before.
Besides speed, that’s not all, because the DualSense controller also offers all kinds of new benefits. For example, feel every moment of the action through the triggers and advanced haptic feedback. This way you can experience changes in the road surface, extra sensation of weather effects, damage and explosions in a different way.
With a faster game and the experience of the DualSense controller, you can enjoy GTA V in a new way. And not only because you hear the action in a whole new way, thanks to the 3D audio that the game offers. This way you get optimal sound when accelerating a supercar, hearing gunfire nearby and the roar of a helicopter above your head.
Switch GTA V to PlayStation 5
You can transfer the story mode and your GTA Online characters and progression to the PlayStation 5. This is possible with a one-time transition so keep in mind that there is no going back.
Starting Friday, March 4, players can start transferring their Story Mode progress by uploading a save to the Rockstar Games Social Club. To perform this process, you can boot GTA V on your current console account. Next, go to the Game tab of the pause menu. From there, select the Upload Save Game option. Keep in mind that you can only save one game save per platform at a time. The save games will then remain available for download for 90 days.
Players with a Rockstar Games Social Club account will be able to transfer their GTA Online character progress to PlayStation 5 starting Tuesday, March 15. This will be possible after the game has been loaded onto the PlayStation 5 console.
