Impressive first images of Black Adam the new DC Comics bombshell

Today at DC Fandome we have been able to see the first and long-awaited images of Black adam, with Dwayne Johnson, as Shazam’s archenemy!

Without a doubt, the DC Comics film projects have captured all the attention in the DC Fandome, and one of them is the expected Black adam of Dwayne Johnson, that if last year he presented several concept art of the film, today he has followed in the footsteps of The Suicide Squad by James Gunn last year, and has revealed a video with some brief images of the shooting, however the highlight has come when Johnson has presented one of the opening scenes of the film.

In it we can see archaeologists accompanied by a group of mercenaries in what looks like Egyptian ruins and there they free Black adam of what could be your prison . The scene is very revealing because it shows us the enemy of Shazam! showing some of his powers and having no compassion for his enemies.

Johnson among other things has said in the Black Adam panel that “He was born to play the character” and that the movie would feature a lot of action.

You can see behind the scenes and the scene below:

Little is known about the film’s plot, we will surely know his origins, and how he became the magician’s champion, it is probable, apparently in the teaser, that Black Adam will come to face the justice society, with Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Destino, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, or Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, among others.

First appearance in the comics

Black adam was created by Otto Binder and CC Beck, and first appeared in The Marvel Family # 1
in December 1945. However, Black Adam was revived as a recurring character later in DC Comics, who licensed the characters from Fawcett Comics publisher in 1973.

Black Adam was a predecessor of Shazam! whose origins are in ancient Egypt, and who made his way into modern times to challenge the hero and his allies. However, since the early 21st century, DC Comics writers Jerry Ordway, Geoff Johns, and David S. Goyer have redefined Black Adam as a corrupt antihero trying to clear his name and reputation. Featured roles in comic series such as Justice Society of America (JSA), Villains United, Infinite Crisis and New 52 have raised the character’s prominence in the DC Universe.
