Interview with Awkwafina, actress of Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings hits theaters on September 3. From Cinemascomics, we interviewed actress Awkwafina.

A film that will take us into an extremely compelling story, full of action scenes and with that humor that characterizes the studio so much. From Cinemascomics, we spoke with Awkwafina and this told us about the film.

In Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Awkwafina gives life to Katy. She is the oldest and closest friend of Shang-Chi. In it we will see a young woman with a free spirit, but who is also fiercely loyal. In this way, Katy will be an unconditional companion for the main character and will also accompany him during his search. Still, throughout the story, Katy must also go on her own journey of self-discovery.

In the interview, Awkwafina assures us that she is ready for a second installment of Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings. “Yes, I would love to meet with the cast. But I don’t know what will happen ”, he declared. The actress, who plays Katy in the upcoming Marvel Studios film, has already achieved an astonishing career at the age of 33. In addition to starring in films like Ocean’s 8 and Crazy Rich Asians, Awkwafina also starred in The Farewell, a film that earned her a Golden Globe for Best Actress in 2020.

In addition to having Awkwafina, Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings, it stars Simu Liu, as the main hero.
