In news that isn’t even remotely surprising at this point, it turns out that Dealabs user billbil-kun has once again managed to predict the games that will be included in PlayStation Plus next month. The three free PlayStation Plus games for January 2022 are: Deep Rock Galactic and Dirty 5 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and Persona 5 Strikers for PlayStation 4. These new games will go live on Tuesday, January 4.
Deep Rock Galactic is a co-op first-person shooter designed for up to four players. Space dwarves search for valuable resources through a series of procedurally generated caves. The problem is, those caves are filled with hordes of aliens, but at least you have the option to knock down the walls and ceiling in the completely destructible environments if things get desperate. This game will launch on PS4 and PS5 on January 4 and will be the first release this month, delivering on Sony’s promise.
Dirty 5 is Codemasters’ latest offering in the long-running rally franchise. The game offers a career mode with 70 routes across 10 different locations around the world. Those who want more can create their own entertainment in the Playgrounds creator mode. There are also multiplayer modes for both online and local play that support up to four players in split screen.
Finally, Persona 5 Strikers is a spin-off of the usual Persona formula, this time a combination of RPG persona 5 with the hack and slash action of the Dynasty Warriors franchisee. The Phantom Thieves take a vacation through Japan, but everything is thrown into chaos when a distorted reality appears. With corruption taking over entire cities, the team of friends must free the hearts of those imprisoned and reveal the truth.
For now, Godfall Challenger Edition, mortal shell and LEGO DC Super Villains current PlayStation Plus titles will be available for download until January 3. November’s three bonus PSVR titles—The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, the persistence and Until you fall— will also only be available until January 3. Once claimed, all games will remain in your library as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
