Kao the Kangaroo is the latest platform mascot from the 1990s getting a revival on the latest consoles. Developer Tate Multimedia has released the Kao the Kangaroo coming to PS5 and PS4 later this year, embarking on its biggest adventure yet.
Who is Kao the Kangaroo?
Kao (pronounced KO) debuted in 2000 in a 3D platformer on the SEGA Dreamcast. Nearly 17 years after his last title in 2005, Kao returns in a reboot on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 with the imaginative title Kao the Kangaroo. His “biggest adventure yet” will take him to various locations around the world as he tries to locate his sister and find out why his long-lost father has mysteriously disappeared. Keeping in mind that there are famous fighting masters standing in his way, each controlled by a dark force, his boxing gloves which can be customized with various magical powers will help to deal with those opponents. There are also plenty of secrets to find and items to collect.
