Leaked Elden Ring trailer sent to website as claims reporting delays affected development and release

A leaked internal Elden Ring trailer has been sent VGC with the website reporting that it shows a significant amount of off-screen footage and is labeled “Bandai Namco Confidential”.

This appears to be a gameplay trailer that Bandai Namco plans to show for the game soon, and follows rumors and speculation that we’ll be seeing Elden Ring soon, before the end of March.

In the trailer, a narrator says, “I can only imagine what drives you to search for the Elden Ring. I suppose you cannot be persuaded to return. Very good then! ”Gameplay is said to be quite similar to the other Souls games and includes a boss fight against a dragon and a sword-wielding enemy. However, environments are large and open and include horse riding.

VGC then goes on to say they understand that the game has been delayed several times and production has been significantly hampered by COVID-19. As a result, a source said the game is unlikely to release this year.

Bandai Namco has also just entered a Direct-style trademark, which could suggest we’ll see the game there.

Elden Ring is expected to release for PS4 and PS5.
