Marvel’s Avengers March Update But No Roadmap

Marvel’s Avengers will receive the next content update in March. Patch 2.3 will rework the War Table and mission selection, among other things. However, Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal have said there is still no content roadmap for Marvel’s Avengers, as they are not ready to unveil it yet.

What to Expect from Marvel’s Avengers Patch 2.3

Patch 2.3 will reintroduce Nick Fury as the leader of SHIELD and he will join Director Hill in coordinating Avengers initiative missions. His return has been brought about by changes to the war table so that finding, selecting and launching missions will be different as players level up through the Avengers initiative. The goal is to increase the matchmaking pool by making content easier to find.

Other changes to be made are more balancing for gear benefits, while gear sets are rewards for completing a wider range of activities. Units become rewards for various endgame activities as the recent addition of the shipping system has thrown the units’ economy out of balance. Weekly rewards can still be earned per hero (instead of per account) on Mega Hives, as well as the Omega level threat and the Raid. Finally, there will be a slew of other gameplay improvements and bug fixes. More information about Patch 2.3 is promised as it gets closer to release next month.

The trio say they’re “not ready to unveil the next full roadmap yet,” though there are no hints as to when it will be out. As always, we’ll be sure to let you know when the time comes.
