Mortal Kombat 12 Leaked, Possibly On Purpose, By NetherRealm Producer

Mortal Kombat 12, or its existence, should come as no surprise to any fighting game fan. Since NetherRealm announced that they would not produce any content for Mortal Kombat 11one can only imagine where their workload shifted.

Now, however, we seem to have received confirmation that: Mortal Kombat 12 exists, and work is underway to NetherRealm currently. We know that, because a NetherRealm producer, Jonathan Andersonit itself leaked.

In fact, it may even have been on purpose.

Website VGC reports that the producer has posted an image to Twitter of cover art for Injustice 2, Mortal Kombat, and Mortal Kombat II, although it’s important to look at the top-right corner, the bottom of Anderson’s monitor.

There’s a file that can be clearly read titled “Mk12_Mast…” before it’s truncated, and an email that reads in part: “Our fans eagerly scrape the internet for traces” and “be extra careful with this material”.

You can see the image for yourself here:

This isn’t the first indication we’ve had of Mortal Kombat 12although hopefully this means we may get some sort of announcement soon.
