Naughty Dog doesn’t seem to rule out the arrival of new Uncharted completely

It’s not like there’s a sequel to Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy right now, but a developer at Naughty Dog says never say never when it comes to a new installment in the series.

This year, the series seems to be getting a revival with the release of the Legacy of Thieves collection and the film that should hit theaters next month.

According to Shaun Escayg, a veteran of Naughty Dog, it is certainly possible that the series will be picked up again. Naughty Dog was busy with The Last of Us Part 2 after the release of Uncharted: Lost Legacy and appeared to have left the Uncharted series behind. Especially when President Neil Druckmann announced that he would like to play an Uncharted game that he himself would not be involved in.

Escayg registers games radar the following about a new Uncharted:

“I think we can say with certainty that we can never say never. Yes. Uncharted is a franchise we love – which the studio loves. It’s a world we want to see more of. So I can definitely say that.”

It also initially looked like the Chloe Frazer spin-off could revive the series by bringing other characters from the lore to the fore. And let’s face it: who wouldn’t want to see a spin-off with Sully and Sam Drake?!
