Developer Saber Interactive and publisher Boss Team Games are delayed Evil Dead: the game again. Originally slated for release in 2021, the game was pushed to February 2022, but now has a new release date of May 13, 2022. On Twitter, Saber Interactive said it needs more time to make a game worthy of the franchise and is “groovy as hell.”
Why Evil Dead: The Game Has Been Delayed Again
“This delay gives our team the time it takes to get things just right, so your boomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to destroy Deadites by Friday, May 13,” explains Saber. While thanking fans for their patience and understanding, the developer assured them it won’t be long before there’s more news. In addition, a brand new trailer will be released this month. The previous decision to postpone Evil Dead was also made to further polish the game.

Opinion: The release date of the new Evil Dead game takes some of the pain away from February
Zamena writes… February and March are packed with new game releases, including some highly anticipated games. Whatever the reason Evil Dead‘s delay, it’s probably for the best because it would have been gobbled up by big budget AAAs. A three-month delay also gives people time to rebuild their gaming budget after being battered in the first quarter of the year.
