Paradise Killer PS5, PS4 Versions Announced

Developer Kaizen Game Works and Publisher Fellow Traveler Announced Paradise Killer PS5 and PS4 versions. The critically acclaimed open world murder mystery will be released on March 16 on both Sony platforms as well as Xbox One and Series X/S with brand new content. Paradise Killer was originally released in 2020 on the Nintendo Switch and PC to positive reception.

Paradise Killer PS5 Features and New Content

Paradise Killer’s PS5 and Xbox Series X versions support 4K at 60 frames per second, ray tracing, and super-fast loading, among other next-gen enhancements. Specifically on the PS5, the game will make use of DualSense’s haptics and will feature a day/night lightbar cycle. New content includes a new soundtrack, new in-game characters, missions, rewards and collectibles. Kaizen Game Works will release a new soundtrack album in addition to the new versions of Paradise Killer.

For those unfamiliar with Paradise Killer, the game is inspired by the work of HP Lovecraft and Franz Kafka, as well as video games such as Danganronpa. An official summary reads:

Paradise is an island that recovers every few millennia. The psychic power released by the alien worshipers in the universe is meant to nourish and eventually bring their fallen gods back to life. But this power also attracts unwanted interest from demons, who eventually corrupt every island – until a new alternate reality is born by the Council. The system isn’t perfect, but it will be one day – on Perfect 25, the next island in the making. But on the eve of the rebirth, the Council is murdered and Paradise is killed.

Players take on the role of Lady Love Dies, an investigator who must find the killer and get a conviction in order to save Paradise. But apparently facts and truth are “not the same”.

In other news, Babylon’s Fall is Square Enix’s latest flop, and EA has stopped selling games in Russia and Belarus.
