Actor Patrick Stewart will return as Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and compares his character to Superman.
The trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) presented a powerful group of heroes who remain in the shadows and that is why we do not know their identities for now. But if we hear the voice of Patrick Stewart repeating his role Professor X. Now he has compared his return to that of Superman.
In a recent interview Patrick Stewart said: “This is a very sensitive area… All I can tell you is that we will have to see. But keep in mind that Professor Xavier has already died twice. I think he must have some sort of Superman quality.”
The actor refers to the fact that we could see the Professor X die in X-Men 3: The Final Stand (2006) when Jean Gray (Famke Janssen) disintegrates it. While in the movie Logan (2017), the villain X-24 (a clone of Wolverine) kills him while he is resting in bed.
We have also seen the resurrection of Superman in the movie League of Justice (2017 and 2021) after he died defeating Doomsday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
It will be another version of Charles Xavier.
Although we have seen the Professor X in many movies played by Patrick Stewart and James McAvoynow the variant that will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness it will be totally different. Something similar to J. Jonah Jameson (JK Simmons) by Spider-Man: There Is No Home who belonged to this Cinematic Universe and therefore had not lived through the events of the trilogy of sam raimi starring Tobey Maguirewhere the actor also participated.
We will know everything he has prepared Marvel Studios for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness when it opens on May 6, 2022. While you can see the deliveries of the X Men where he participated Patrick Stewart on the Disney Plus streaming platform.
