Sony don’t waste time talking about it Playstation VR2 now that we are in 2022. Like for example, that’s the official title of what we’ve all mentioned PSVR 2 up to now.
It’s the next generation for VR, for PS5 consoles with a single cable arrangement. Among other features, all of which are described in the most recent PlayStation blog post after them announcement on CES.
The controllers we all saw a while ago are called PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers, which is in accordance with the DualSense On PS5.
Some of the standout features are the fact that the headset will perform 4K HDR, of field of view of 110 degrees. The display in the headset is a OLED, and players can expect smooth frame rates up to 120 Hz.
PS VR2 also eliminates the need for an external camera with headset-based controller tracking. PS VR2 even has eye tracking so that even a simple look can be used as additional input.
