The story begins with a modest and hardworking bunny who tends a farm. She is a simple bun, who wants nothing more than to eat a tasty carrot and relax after a long day at work. Just as she is about to wrap up for the day, she stumbles upon a missing lipstick tube before heading home. That night, she vividly dreams of meeting a powerful bunny goddess named Gaia, who tells her that the lipstick she found was actually a magical artifact. Finding it, she has now become the new farm princess, inheriting the power to uproot, replant, and bind vegetables, a power that she must now use to save the world!

The main puzzle game involves pulling up vegetables (up to a stack of five) and replanting them to move columns of brightly colored crops up and down. Lining up at least three of the same vegetable will pair them up, removing them from the field and moving everything below it to fill the gap. More points are awarded for diagonal matches, and combos multiply the score obtained. The objectives and mechanics also change from puzzle to puzzle, bringing additional variation to the game. On one plot you may need to match carrots and avoid potatoes, while the next may only allow diagonal matches while scoring against a clock. This is the default way to play, but by selecting an episode, the player can select their preferred style of play. “Balanced Bun” is the default combination of all types, while “Puzzle Bun” focuses on slower, more methodical targets. And for those of you who care about speed and combo strings, “Action Bun” is the style of play for you. Plus, if you have a friend, you can play each episode in local co-op!

As you progress through the story, you’ll meet other bunnies (and non-bunnies) with unique and equally endearing personalities and traits. Garlic, the first bunny you meet, can talk to animals. Carrot is a genius inventor and he creates a robotic bun to help you on your journey. Rowan is an antisocial bookworm who runs a traveling hare dye shop. And in this store you can spend the hearts earned by completing puzzles to buy different colors and sparkle effects to customize your outfits. These outfits and other customizations can also be obtained through gifts at the end of each episode, depending on your relationship with the characters.

If you are a fan of magical girl anime, match-3 puzzles, and cute bunnies, then farm princess could be the game for you! You can head over to the Xbox Store to pick up the game and start matching vegetables today!

Princess Farmer was just an ordinary farmer when she woke up one day under Gaia’s tree. Something mysterious is going on in the forest and it’s your job to find out! You’ll learn about the world around you as you talk and build relationships with lovable characters including: Mother Gaia, Garlic, Shoppe Keeper Rowan, and even Bot Bunny!
