Resident Evil Village Review embargo lifts on May 5

Which Returnsis out, it’s time to put our eyes on Resident Evil Village. Unlike the former, Capcom’s highly anticipated horror title will appear on both the current and the last generation of platforms.

To celebrate the launch, Capcom will host an official live stream on May 7 at 7 p.m. ET. You can bookmark the live stream below on YouTube (thanks, Gematsu):

For those looking for reviews, the good news is that Capcom is lifting the embargo on Wednesday, May 5 at 8 a.m.PT / 11 a.m.

As a reminder, Resident Evil Village launches worldwide on May 7, but the multiplayer component, Reverse will not start until the summer. Those who buy the main item will get the multiplayer title for free.

An official overview of Resident Evil Village is as follows:

The next generation of survival horror comes in the form of Resident Evil Village, the eighth major entry in the Resident Evil series. With ultra-realistic graphics powered by the RE Engine, fight for survival in the face of danger.

A few years after the gruesome events of the acclaimed Resident Evil 7 biohazard, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan Winters and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location, free from their past nightmares. Just as they build their new life together, another tragedy befalls them. When BSAA Captain Chris Redfield attacks their home, Ethan must go to hell again to get his kidnapped daughter back.

PlayStation LifeStyle will post its review when the embargo ends, so check back often for our thoughts on Lady Dimitrescu (and the game too).
