Facepunch Studios has announced that the Rust Console Edition The release has been shifted to 2021, previously slated to hit PS4, PC and Xbox One this year.
Rust Console edition is delayed until next year
In a long post on Double Eleven’s website, the studio confirmed that Rust Console Edition will need a little more time in the oven to release properly. It also sheds light on why the company has remained so quiet about the game’s progress over the past few months.
We love to make great games and bring them to new audiences, but that sometimes means it takes a little longer to get it right than we originally planned, at the expense of the disappointment and confidence of those who were so eager to play it at launch. .

Why have we been so quiet for so long? The games developer world is a fickle beast; you never have the full picture beforehand and the development process often becomes more of a voyage of discovery when you bring a pc title to the console. While contact with players is extremely important, we think it should also be meaningful and while we were working behind the scenes we didn’t feel ready to share anything with you.
Rust Console Edition is now scheduled for some time in 2021.
