September 2021 Free PS Plus games include Overcooked! and Hitman 2

There have been a lot of rumors in recent weeks about the three games that would be included in PlayStation Plus this month. Sony has now confirmed that at least one of the rumors was true. The three free PlayStation Plus games from September 2021 are: Overcooked! All you can eat for PlayStation 5, and Hitman 2 and Predator: Hunting Grounds for PS4. These new games will go live on Tuesday, September 7.

Overcooked! All you can eat contains all contents of Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2. In addition, it also includes online multiplayer for the levels from the first title, new chefs, new levels, new outfits for the existing chefs and more accessibility options. The game recently got a free Birthday Party update to celebrate the franchise’s fifth anniversary with new levels, a chef and a brand new recipe. Despite the game being released on PS4 in March, only the PS5 version of the game will be included in the PlayStation Plus Instant Games Collection.

Hitman 2 dropped the episodic format of the rebooted franchise and released all six new locations in one package. Once again, Agent 47 has targets to kill and a range of tools to do it, including a fish and a rather alluring flamingo outfit. Please note that the Ghost mode servers have been shut down, but the rest of the game modes are still available. The Hitman 2 levels can be imported into Hitman 3 for owners of that game to play them there too, and any Hitman 2 saved files can also be transferred.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is an asymmetric multiplayer shooter that pits a four-player Fireteam against the Predator, who is armed with weapons such as the shoulder-mounted Plasma Caster and Combistick. New content is constantly being added to the game. Yesterday’s update introduced the NRV-E, more of Isabelle’s tapes to impart knowledge, and friendly Fireteam bots. There was also a new premium DLC female Predator character in the form of Cleopatra.

All three titles will be available for download starting September 7. They will disappear from the collection on October 4, but once the games are redeemed, they can be downloaded at any time as long as you have an active PS Plus subscription. There are only six days left to get your hands on the current PlayStation Plus titles; Hunters Arena: Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, and Tennis World Tour 2 all disappear on September 6.
