Shadow of the Colossus-inspired Praey for the Gods released for PS4 and PS5

No Matter Studios has been released Pray for the Gods, a Shadow of the Colossus-inspired action adventure game for the PS4 and PS5. PS4 versions of Pray for the Gods also comes with a free upgrade to the PS5 version. The game is also currently available for PC via Steam and Xbox consoles.

Pray for the Gods, originally titled Prey for the Gods, is an indie adventure title in which players fight against colossal enemies. The player begins by exploring the fringes of the known world to learn about a never-ending winter and eventually uncover the mysteries of an ancient civilization. Like its spiritual predecessor, Pray for the Gods let players scale huge beasts and defeat them by attacking their weaknesses. In addition, the game also features crafting mechanics as well as swimming and sliding.

No Matter Studios began official production on Pray for the Gods in 2016, following a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised more than $500,000. Unfortunately, Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax filed a trademark opposition in 2017, prompting No Matter Studios to rename the game. Bethesda’s Pete Hines later defended the decision, stating that Bethesda contacted the studio in 2015 to warn of a potential trademark infringement.
