Sony confirms that PS has now reached 3.2 million subscribers, an increase of 2.2 million since its reintroduction

Sony Corporation announced during the Investor Relations Day findings that PlayStation Now, the cloud-based streaming service, has amassed 3.2 million subscribers worldwide.

To put that in context, this figure is up 2.2 million since PS Now relaunched in October 2019, so that’s pretty impressive stuff. Undoubtedly, Sony executives will be quite happy with this! The presentation shows that PS Now’s growth was quite slow until a few years ago, where it jumped from 700,000 to 1.8 million between FY18 and FY19.

First launched in 2014, PS Now gives users the chance to stream or download hundreds of games on PS2, PS3 and PS4 with new games added monthly. Plus, bigger titles are rotated and replaced with other big offerings.
