Sony is working on a Jak & Daxter TV or movie adaptation with Uncharted director

The movie and TV adaptations keep on coming, and this time with a new classic Bad Dog IK P. According to a new report from Digital Trends, director of the not mapped movie Ruben Fleischer working on an adaptation of Jak & Daxter for play station

“I’m actually working on Jack and Daxter, a version of it, for play stationwhich I think would be really cool to bring to life.”

This comes just two days later not mapped star Tom Holland was very open about wanting to star in a movie based on Jack & Daxter.

It would be hard to believe that the Netherlands is not already involved in some way, or does not intend to get involved under the circumstances, although the report points out that Sony has had an adjustment of Jak & Daxter in the making since 2013.

With that in mind, it will be interesting to see if they continue with what has already been developed, or start over.

Since the company tasked with developing a Jak & Daxter animated film was also commissioned to create a Sly Cooper feature and neither project has been made public, it’s likely they’ll start over.

This can of course also mean that if this TV show or movie does come, and there is again interest in it Jak & Daxtermaybe a new game can finally bring the franchise back.
