Sony Makes Another Major Acquisition For Their Mobile Efforts, Nabbing Fate/Grand Order Studio

Aniplex is a company owned by Sony under their music branch in Japan, and they are the same company that just took over the developers Fate/Great Order.

If you’ve never heard of it Fate/Great Order, it is one of the largest mobile games in the world. Now that the developer Delight Works (or rather, just the gaming division) is owned by Aniplex and therefore Sony, they can be a great boon for working out what future mobile ventures Sony has planned.

We know they plan to use their first part IP more on mobile, which may be true Delight Works could come in.

It is still too early to say exactly what will come of this step. What we can at least take away is the fact that: Sony wasn’t ready for the year when it came to studio acquisitions.

What is also certain is that the play station landscape continues to change, if Sony tries to expand the brand and its IP in new ways.
