Take-Two plans ‘sequel to many of our most beloved franchises’, LA Noire & Midnight Club referenced in slideshow

Speaking during the last overnight earnings report, Second try executive Strauss Zelnick expressed his interest in pursuing sequels to some of his existing IPs, and while not confirming anything specific, he did refer to long-dormant franchises such as LA Noire and Midnight Club.

Strauss made it clear that there is a healthy portion of IPs in the company’s portfolio that would benefit from being resurrected through new sequels.

We have the strongest and most diverse pipeline in our company’s history, consisting of new intellectual properties, as well as sequels to many of our beloved franchises. We look forward to delivering many of these titles in the coming months and beyond.

Again, he didn’t mention anything specific, but a presentation that followed the statement above featured images of LA Noire, Max Payne 3 and Midnight Club. All three franchises haven’t been seen in years, so it would be ideal to bring them back in the future.

LA Noire was originally going to be a PS3 exclusive before going multiplatform, launching in 2011 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Max Payne 3 launched the following year, while the last Midnight Club game arrived in 2008 for PS3 and Xbox 360.
