After what seems like a long wait, Stories of origin will be released worldwide on September 10. It won’t feature multiplayer elements because, according to producer Yusuke Tomizawa, the game is designed as a standalone experience where only one person “enjoys the drama”.
A summary is as follows:
On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena, the planet in the sky, as a land of the righteous and the godly. Stories passed down through generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. Rena has ruled Dahna for 300 years, plundering the planet of its resources and depriving people of their dignity and freedom.
Our story begins with two people, born on different worlds, who each want to change their destiny and create a new future. With a new cast of characters, updated combat, and classic Tales of gameplay mechanics, experience the next chapter in the world-renowned Tale of series, Tales of Arise.
Those who buy Stories of origin on the PS4 are entitled to the PS5 upgrade for free.
