The Rainbow Six Extraction Eclipse Crisis event is happening now

Darkness has fallen over Truth or Consequences, New Mexico in the new Eclipse Crisis event taking place now through September 1 in Rainbow Six Extraction. Eclipse introduces a new archaic threat that requires stealthy tactics to take down, but if you manage to do it efficiently (as well as accomplishing the other new objectives each raid), you’ll be well on your way to unlocking new cosmetic gear and a new REACT. Technological item called Aura Grenade, which attracts Archaeans before detonating. Also, a new operator named Echo has joined the squad with her Yokai drone that distracts the enemy (and eventually annihilates the enemy). See it in action and check out the new event in our video breakdown.

When you dive into an Eclipse raid, your main objective will be to hunt down the Elusive Neoplasm, an Archaean that stays rooted in place unless it senses danger (ie you). Once you’ve found it, sneak up on it and hit it with a takedown; however, if it is caught moving in its detection pulse or alerts nearby enemies, the Neoplasm will escape to the next subzone. You need to hit him with three takedowns to kill him; Ideally, it should be one per subzone, but if he flees, you’ll have to make up for those lost takedowns in the final subzone. And don’t take too long! You’ll also need to restore generator power in the first two subzones, which means facing off against hordes of angry Archaeans.

Rainbow Six Extraction is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna, and is included with a Ubisoft+ or Game Pass subscription. Read about how the team chose Operators from the Rainbow Six Siege ranks to form REACT in Rainbow Six Extraction.
