The secrets to conquer the vast world of Halo Infinite

The big day has finally arrived! Halo Infinite available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Windows PC, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC, and Cloud Gaming (Beta). Find it in the Microsoft Store (Argentina, chili, Colombia Y Mexico). The latest Master Chief adventure offers a new kind of Halo experience, with an expansive world that gives our hero unprecedented flexibility to fight the Banished in his own way. After having played the entire campaign, I discovered that there are many new and exciting elements, as well as new game mechanics, so I thought this would be the perfect time to give you some tips and tricks to start your campaign of Halo Infinite. Spartan, your time has come!

The Grappleshot will be your best friend while you explore …

Much has been said about the latest tool in the Master Chief’s arsenal, and for good reason. The Grappleshot or grappling hook allows you to traverse terrain much more easily and adds a level of verticality never seen before in the series. I used mine frequently to reach elevated platforms or climb high walls (if you stand right at the base and shoot almost straight up, you’ll fly off), upgrade it by using collectible Spartan Cores to significantly reduce the cooldown of the Grappleshot. Get ready to shoot, jump, and fire again to scale the highest obstacles!

… and in combat

Of course, the Grappleshot offers much more than just a simple and easy way to get around. It is very useful during combat, as you can use it to grab explosive energy cells from afar and throw them like improvised grenades or grab directly into firing position in a turret (or, if you’re like me, hit a turret on the other side of the tower). Cliff). However, by improving the Grappleshot you will see how things get really interesting. By holding down the melee button when engaging an enemy, you will not only be able to perform a devastating melee attack against them, but you will also unleash a powerful shock wave that will stun all enemies around you.

A forward base of operations?

As progress in Halo Infinite You will discover its various game mechanics and elements to catch up. One of these items is forward operating bases (FOB) that you can capture to use as fast travel points or places to prepare. However, one of the most important reasons to capture a FOB is that by taking one, all collectibles and points of interest (such as friendly troops to be saved) in that area will be revealed to you. Since almost all of these items will help you progress faster and have more power, I found it made more sense to capture all the FOBs available at once to find out where everything was.

Know your enemy

There is an old saying that goes: “Knowing is half the battle” and that applies perfectly to Halo Infinite. While you can fight your way through the strength of the enemies you will encounter, most of them have particular weaknesses that will make taking them down that much easier. For example, you can stun shield Jackals with a Grappleshot, giving you the perfect opportunity to shoot them down. On the other hand, the Brutes are particularly weak against the Mangler; with just a couple of shots you can easily knock them down. It’s worth experimenting with the game’s Kinetic, Plasma, Shock, and Hardlight ammo types to see what works best in certain situations.

Use the tools at your disposal

I think I’ve praised the Grappleshot enough already; However, there are many other pieces of upgradeable gear that will help Master Chief turn the tide of battle. The Threat Sensor will allow you to launch a small sensor that will reveal enemy positions, which will be of great help in areas where enemies frequently move or hide (or, as is the case with Covenant Elites, who use camouflage to become invisible). By upgrading it, you can shoot more than one at a time to cover more areas of the map. On the other hand, the Drop Shield, gives you more easily deployable cover for intense shootings, although it will be much more fun when it is best. Once at full power, projectiles you launch will deal Shock damage, stunning enemies and preventing shields from recharging. Gather as much gear as possible and enjoy all the flexibility it will give you.

Find the team of your dreams

As mentioned before, upgrade your forward operating bases by performing activities like saving UNSC troops from the clutches of the Banished. As you progress and perform more activities you will unlock more weapons and vehicles that you can equip from any FOB you have captured. Additionally, there are a number of high-value Banished Targets that can be eliminated, giving you access to a special version of traditional alien weaponry. Likewise, you can keep your ideal cargo with you and grab things like a sniper rifle or rocket launcher with a quick FOB visit. I settled on a new Commando VK78 rifle and a special Rapid Fire plasma rifle. Oh, and a Scorpion tank, because… no one is stopping me!

I hope these tips help you make the most of your time on the campaign Halo Infinite. Enjoy the different ways to play and have fun!
