If you’ve ever wanted to test all of DualSense’s trigger effects without booting up a video game, there’s one app available for the iPhone and iPad that allows you to do just that.
The ‘PS5 Controller Trigger Test’ app, designed by 20-year-old Rihab Mehboob, spotted by folks over at IGN, allows users to ‘mess around’ with the triggers to experience the full magnitude of all its effects. For example, you can adjust the amplitude and frequency of the vibration, and the resistance/feedback you receive when using weapons in a game.
“I’ve always wanted to test and work with the different Dualsense trigger effects,” Mehboob told IGN. “[B]But not many games use it, and when they do, it’s not customizable.”
The app is also very easy to use. All you need to do is connect your DualSense to your mobile device and you’re good to go! The only caveat is that it will cost you $1.99, but it’s well worth it. Here’s what you can expect for your money:
Simple and beautiful user interface
Test all kinds of effects, with all possible values
Change each trigger individually
Change the controller light and check the battery
Small haptic feedback when interacting, improving the overall experience
Voice over support
Pretty sweet, huh?
Mehboob is actively seeking feedback and suggestions and is happy to answer any questions on Twitter so make sure you give him a shout.
