Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus returns to a new Spider-man movie in the MCU, and this is his first encounter with the wall-crawler.
It was an open secret that Alfred Molina would play Doctor Octopus again in Spider-man: No way home, something that certified the first trailer released of the film by Marvel Studios and Sony, thus confirming the multiverse in the long-awaited trequel, to which Willem Dafoe also return as the Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx as Electro, it remains to be seen if they will do the same. own Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-man.
In the first trailer, the scene featuring Doc Octopus gave the impression that he recognized Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. But then we learned that this scene is not really like that. Since we have been able to see several spots, in which Doctor Strange asks Octavius if Holland’s version is the Peter Parker of his universe, to which he answers no, in reference to Tobey Maguire’s version. Now thanks to a new clip we can see extended how is the first meeting of Holland’s Spider-man with the villain.
Everything indicates that in Spider-man: No way home, the first villain to arrive from the multiverse will be Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, after Peter spoiled Doctor Strange’s spell, this first encounter seen in the clip will somehow end with Doc Oc being caught or even agreeing to go with Spider- man and Strange in search of answers from the place where he has suddenly found himself, which would explain that he can be in the same place with the two avengers in a non-threatening way, and in turn make them aware of what has caused Peter’s interference with the spell .
Directed by Jon Watts. This new installment also features Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau and Marisa Tomei among others. The film hits theaters on December 17
