THQ Nordic celebrates 10th anniversary with showcase

THQ Nordic can blow out ten candles this month and will not only celebrate with cake. The publisher will show six new games during a showcase.

On September 17, the publisher has planned a showcase, which will take place at 21:00 (Dutch time) and via Twitch, YouTube and steam to follow.

Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the showcase will feature six upcoming games, including “the return of legendary franchises, including some that fans have been waiting for decades to get their hands on a new installment,” promises THQ Nordic, as well as sequels to beloved games.

While it’s easier to speculate about the nature of the sequels, perhaps a new Kingdoms of Amalur or Red Faction game, it’s harder to predict what fans have been waiting for decades, as “decades” implies it’s older than THQ Nordic itself, maybe game one of the old THQ or something from a more distant past. Maybe it’s even about being able to be the long-awaited TimeSplitters.

It’s a mystery to which franchises it refers to, but we do know that it will show new footage from Elex 2 and upcoming CRPG Expeditions: Rome. A preshow is also planned for HandyGames titles.

Of course we will make sure that everything can be followed live on this site by then. What do you hope to see?
