Tom Holland wants his Spider-man to team up with Daredevil

Tom Holland has revealed that he would love his Spider-man to team up with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil.

The surprise appearances of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home They have undoubtedly been the great protagonists of the film, leaving another surprise cameo in the background: that of Charlie Cox, protagonist of the Marvel Studios Daredevil series on Netflix. and the star of No Way HomeTom Holland says he’d love to see Cox’s Daredevil fight alongside his version of Spider-Man.

“Working with Charlie was incredibly exciting,” Holland told The Hollywood Reporter. «He was a huge fan of the Daredevil series, and I think he’s a fantastic actor. He did a wonderful job with that character, and even though it was a small cameo, it obviously teased the future of what could be.”

“It was a real acting piece, that scene,” Holland said. “We blocked out the scene, which was basically us sitting there, and we read the lines. It was great. It felt like an acting workshop while working with people I really admire, and Charlie was so much fun.”

“It was really cool to see him turn back into a character that I’m really a fan of and have a lot of love for, obviously. So it was pretty amazing, and I hope one day we find a way for Spider. -Man and Daredevil to team up again.

Cox doesn’t dress up as Daredevil in No Way Home, although the character is forced to quickly demonstrate his abilities. In the film, Murdock provides legal assistance to Peter Parker after Peter Parker’s identity as Spider-Man is exposed and he is framed for Murdock’s murder by Quentin Beck. Murdock gets the charges dropped, but Peter still faces problems beyond the legal ones.

Marvel series on Netflix are part of the UCM

Prior to the release of No Way Home, fans had speculated that Maguire and Garfield would appear in the film. But few anticipated the brief but important appearance of Cox, whose cameo served to confirm that Daredevil, and the other Marvel Netflix series such as The Punisher and Jessica Jonesexist within the current MCU continuity.

Daredevil ran for three seasons on Netflix before the network canceled Marvel’s entire slate of series, but Daredevil has seen a resurgence in popularity in the wake of No Way Home.

Daredevil’s archenemy and crime boss Wilson Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, further cemented the connection between the MCU and the Netflix series when the character appeared in Hawkeye on Disney+.

Spider-Man and Daredevil have partnered frequently throughout their history in the comics. Fisk, better known in the comics as the Kingpin, actually started out primarily as a Spider-Man villain before becoming a major foe for Daredevil as well. So what an exciting series to see the two superheroes together as a team.
