United Label Working With Odd Bug Studio On A New Unannounced RPG

United Label, the game publisher known for other critically acclaimed games like 2020 Rokic, and the upcoming 2D soulful boss rush game oldest souls, will team up with Odd Bug Studio to release a new unannounced RPG, having previously worked with the developer on Iron tails, an RPG slated for September 17, 2021, for the PS4, PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

Iron tails is a hand-drawn 2D RPG that follows Redgi, an anthropomorphic rat who is heir to the Rat Throne, as they battle the Frog clan to unite their fractured kingdom. in traditional RPG form, players can craft a variety of weapons and armor, as well as meal recipes to fight alongside a group of companions.

Jack Bennett, co-founder of Odd Bug Studio, praised United Label and said that choosing to sign with them for another game was an easy one.

Working with United Label on Iron tails showed us how smooth and efficient the development process can be. As a publisher, they rely on our vision and allow us to evolve our worlds, giving us the time to create polished experiences, which was an important factor in our decision to sign for another game.

In addition, United Label also noted that: Iron tails proved that the two companies had a “very successful working relationship” and influenced the decision to continue working with the relatively new UK-based game studio. “Securing the next project illustrates our long-term vision for both games and developers of the Indie sector,” the publisher says, urging other potential developers to contact us before publishing.

Another United Label game, oldest souls from Fallen Flag Studios, will be out this week on July 29, 2021. Fallen Flag Studios is also a small indie studio for four people between Italy and the UK. In addition, former Guerrilla art directors formed Cambridge Polygon Treehouse and teamed up with United Label to create a point-and-click adventure Rokic back in 2020 to critical acclaim.

Suffice to say, if you’re a fan of indie games, you might want to keep your eyes peeled for this new RPG.
