Xbox Mentoring Program Begins – Sign Up Now


Xbox is pleased to announce the official start of the Xbox Mentor Program intended to match women in gaming careers across Xbox’s diverse range of studios and products with aspiring talent.

First introduced on International Women’s Day, the Xbox Mentorship Program gives you the opportunity to access valuable 1:1 training sessions with key leaders in select markets such as the US, UK, Canada, Australia , New Zealand, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland. , Japan and Korea with additional markets to follow.

If you aspire to a gaming career and live in the regions mentioned, please register below for Xbox Mentor in your country and receive the opportunity to access your training session. Submissions are accepted now through April 6, 2022.

Louise has been working in the gaming industry for over 20 years and loves creating games that players will remember. Starting out as an animator, she has had the privilege of working on some of the amazing rare IPs enjoyed by players all over the world. She now takes care of the team responsible for creating the studio’s new IP: Everwild.

Venessa’s role in The Coalition is to bring teams together to develop a cohesive narrative between gameplay, cutscenes, and cutscenes to create a unified experience for players. She develops the framework for making the best plays, getting the right people in the right conversations, and executing to put all the pieces together for an epic end result.

As Xbox Business Leader for Australia and New Zealand, Tania is responsible for driving business growth for the gaming platform in Tasmania. Tania’s career spans over 20 years across roles in Australia and the UK, from IT startups to managing Microsoft’s gaming, consumer software and office businesses through the retail channel.
Tania joined Team Xbox in 2008 in the UK and moved to the Australian company in 2011 driving Xbox’s subscription business, focusing on subscriber growth and launching key app partners on the platform. Having been involved in the success of multiple console generations and launches, Tania was announced as the leader of Xbox ANZ in 2018 after a decade with the brand.

Originally from Japan, Mie is the Xbox Category Manager supporting the Asian Xbox team based in Singapore. She is known for her kindness and enthusiasm for her work. Mie is passionate about championing women in gaming, especially in Asia, and encouraging all gamers, including those in the industry, to share her passion. Since graduating with an MBA in Business Analytics, Mie has expanded her knowledge and skills in consumer, market analysis/research and user experience, as well as stories that identify customer requirements and needs. Always looking for a new challenge, she enjoys working in a demanding environment and is willing to learn new things every day.

Boyoun Kim (Her/Her) Communications Manager Xbox Region: Korea

Boyoun is communications manager at Xbox, leading market communications in Korea and Japan. He has a communications background with deep regional experience in corporate reputation management, issues and crisis communications. After receiving his Masters in Social Policy from the London School of Economics, Boyoun has gained a keen understanding of planning and implementing communication campaigns, as well as regional social media and digital marketing strategies. He has over 10 years of experience and has worked for hardware manufacturer Lenovo, Google, and a German-based startup.
